Wereldkampioenschappen 08/09

Beste blootvoeters,

Het lijkt een beetje raar, een WK2008 in 2009? Dat komt omdat het WK eens in de twee jaar gehouden word en in 2008 georganiseerd word door Nieuw Zeeland. En daar is het in januari zomer en dus mooi weer! Vandaar dat ze het net na de jaarwisseling doen.

Hieronder meer details over de Wereldkampioenschappen Blootvoet Waterskien 2008:

The 2008 Worlds have been confirmed by the IWSF World Congress in Linz, Austria this week.
What: 2008 World Barefoot Championships.
Where: Otaki, New Zealand.
When: 25 January - 1 February 2009

We will be running 3 Sangers (One with a 375hp PCM 48 to 49 mph ) 2x private lakes one 730 M Long and the other 820M and a possible back up up Jump lake 450 M Long - Weather 20 t0 25 C - It will be a great Kiwi Comp just ask the skiers who skied the J/S in 2001

LET OP: dit zijn de internationale toelatingseisen. De Nederlandse Waterski en Wakeboardbond kan hiervan afwijken en/of aanvullende eisen stellen.

The WBC have agreed to the following rule exceptions for the 2008 World Championships only:-

C 102: Scheduling
The 2008 World Championships shall be held in the first two months of 2009.

Ref: Rule C 407(a)1.
For the 2008 World Championships only, the Open independent entry qualifying scores shall be the score registered by the 20th ranked skier in each event from the 2006 Open World Standings Lists. Independent competitors must achieve a qualifying score for the events they are entering in between 1 November 2007 and up to 4 weeks prior to the event i.e. 28 December 2008.

C 1804: Age
The competitor shall be under 17 years of age at midnight on December 31, 2007.

For the 2008 World Championships only, the Junior independent entry qualifying scores shall be the score registered by the 20th ranked skier in each event from the 2006 Junior World Standings List. Junior Independent competitors must achieve a qualifying score for the events they are entering in between 1 November 2007 and up to 4 weeks prior to the event i.e. 28 December 2008.

C 1904: Age
The competitor shall be a minimum of 35 years of age at midnight on December 31, 2007.

For the 2008 World Championships only, the Senior independent entry qualifying scores shall be the score registered by the 20th ranked skier in each event from the 2006 Senior World Standings List. Junior Independent competitors must achieve a qualifying score for the events they are entering in between 1 November 2007 and up to 4 weeks prior to the event i.e. 28 December 2008.

The Qualifying Scores for the 2008 World Championships are therefore as follows:-

Women: 9.5 / 1420 / 8.7

SENIOR
Gentlemen: 14.8 / 2670 / 12.7
Ladies: 4.1 / 700 / 0

JUNIOR
Boys: 9.7 / 1730 / 10.7
Girls: 3.3 / 520 / 0

IMPORTANT REMINDER: All Independent Competitors... must have achieved their qualifying score(s) for the event(s) they are entering in the period between 1 November 2007 and up to 4 weeks prior to the event i.e. 28 December 2008. This information is confirmed on the skier's individual preliminary entry form which is signed off by the skier's Federation.
